Celebrate the Cycle. NYC Edition.

Menstrual hygiene is not a luxury, but a basic service – crucial for dignity, health, and participation.

But many menstruating people around the world lack access to clean water, sanitary products, and safe spaces. The result: shame, exclusion, and taboos.

With Celebrate the Cycle, Viva con Agua ARTS is bringing attention to the issue. Viva con Agua’s water projects lay the foundation for a clean water supply. Viva con Agua builds on this foundation: with WASH training, sanitation solutions, and sanitary products – for dignified period care.

Menstruation is empowerment. Period.

Yasha Young Projects produced a companion event in NYC from September 19-26:
Viva con Agua ARTS @Goalkeepers Week & UN General Assembly 2025
Music, launch of a special edition merch collection, opportunities for exciting conversations, and a strong sense of community.

Celebrate the Cycle goes international.
Art, empowerment, and activism make menstruation visible. Menstruation is political. And art is our megaphone.

Supported by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
